MOBILE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY CLASSROOM PROJECT CONTINUES

February 6, 2017.  The 2016 deployment of the Mobile Information Technology Classroom Project kicked off in Calalahan Elementary School and Salogon Elementary School, in San Jose, Camarines Sur.  A component of the PDA’s Quality Education Program which aims to improve the quality of the education sector in Partido,  the MITC project provides basic computer literacy lessons to the participating elementary schools in Partido. A total of 389 pupils and 36 teachers from the two schools were served.

The Renewal of the Memorandum of Agreement for the MITC Deployment was recently signed with DepEd and PSU, the project partners of the PDA for the MITC deployment in Partido.  The Department of Science and Technology (DOST), a former project partner, has already donated the MITC equipment to the PDA.

On October 14, 2016, the PDA accepted the donation through PDA Board Resolution no. 9, series of 2016.  The PDA shall now primarily coordinate and implement the project in Partido, together with its partners.  For the year 2017, the target elementary schools are located in the municipalities of San Jose and Lagonoy.
