DZRP 94.5 FM Radyo Partido

Radio is still considered the fastest means of disseminating information to the people. It acts as a unifying medium of the individuals through communication for development. In the 4 th congressional district of Camarines Sur, otherwise known as Partido Area, radio becomes an important means of providing information that the constituents need, especially wherein the setting is mostly mountainous and coastal.

Hence, on March 23, 2010, DZRP 94.5 FM Radyo Partido was born. It takes a vital role in the development of Partido area. With its transmitting power of 5,000 watts authorized by the National Telecommunications Commission, its scope reaches the 10 municipalities of the district, namely Caramoan, Garchitorena, Goa, Lagonoy, Presentacion, Sagñay, San Jose, Siruma, Tinambac and Tigaon. It also caters some of the towns in the 3 rd and 5 th district of Camarines Sur, as well as parts of the neighboring Albay province.

Radyo Partido, as DZRP is generally known, operates daily from 5am under the auspices of Partido Development Administration. Its broadcasts primarily focus on advancement of the locality, letting the people know matters that greatly affect the lives of each and every individual particularly those who are in the area.

Moreover, Radyo Partido's service does not end only on every radio sets. It goes beyond what a typical radio station can be. In January 2011, adherent to the call of the times and with the course of information technology, DZRP took leap on the internet via http://www.livestream.com/dzrpradyopartido, thereby providing access to information and entertainment for every Kapartido abroad and giving them the feeling of being at home.

DZRP has a varied programming such as news and commentaries, informative programs and music and entertainment shows. As to the news and commentary, listeners are given their daily dose of information ranging from local to international news and issues, emphasizing the developmental significance. With its informative programs and music and entertainment shows, audience are also given the opportunity to partake through its interactive segments via phone-in calls and text messaging.

And as the trend goes on, DZRP will soon be paired with live telecast as PDA will be reviving its older media technology, the local television.
